Abstract Photography
In the summer of 2023, I traveled to Santa Fe, New Mexico to attend a workshop at the Santa Fe Workshops. This organization sponsors communities gathered to embrace the creative process, develop technical skills, participate in a collaborative process and promote the arts, especially focusing on the photographic arts. My teacher, Susan Burnstine, introduced us to the concept of abstract photography. During this week of classes and field work I learned about a different approach to photography and expanded my knowledge of abstract art, especially as it relates to image creation. In this gallery you will see my initial and continuing work using Intentional Camera Movement (CM), one form of abstract photography. Over time, I hope to share my development as an abstract photographer. Thank you for viewing my early work in this field.
